Functional Analyst and Scrum Master

As a technology first company, we’re currently looking for a Functional Analyst and Scrum Master to join our team.

What your responsibilities would look like?

  • Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions;
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices;
  • Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items;
  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes;
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements;
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing;
  • Tracking project processes and deliverables;
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholder;
  • Following through teams’ progress, measuring velocity; raising risks, reporting on KPIs, scheduling and orchestrating the scrum ceremonies, etc. (typical Scrum Master);
  • Documenting user stories, namely technical stories, and splitting them into a logical phased approach;
  • Ensuring sprints are well planned, handing off to delivery, closing prod bugs before releases;
  • Refining stories with functional details and ensuring that the test design is complete, the functional specs are written, etc.;
  • Supporting the product team with ideation based on their knowledge of Sabre scripting, etc.;
  • Documenting functional specifications, improving the process maps, identifying gaps, and documenting them;
  • Supporting road map delivery and prioritization, release, and capacity planning.

Does this sound like your profile?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, related fields, or equivalent experience;
  • Scrum Master certification;
  • Experience designing and implementing business processes and documenting functional requirements;
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Experience in SaaS Cloud is preferred;
  • Detail oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to change;
  • Experience with risk management and project management.

AWS Cloud Infrastructure Manager

As a technology first company, we’re currently looking for an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Manager to join our team.

What your responsibilities would look like?

  • Develop a blueprint, roadmap, and data model for Cloud Controls. 
  • Manage day-to-day operations including building, deploying, and releasing. 
  • Automate infrastructure deployment, provisioning, and delivery in the cloud. 
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for cloud deployment and environment issues. 
  • Manage relationships with cloud vendors. 
  • Own the program budget and ensure program spend traceability. 
  • Implement monitoring tools and dashboards to maintain high standards of execution. 
  • Ensure security and privacy standards are enforced in the environment.
  • Administer and optimize all existing cloud-based ecommerce daily operations for a secure and reliable environment. 
  • Maintain comprehensive monitoring of the environment and partner with teams for effective automated alerting. 
  • Lead recovery efforts during critical hardware or software failures and execute thorough root-cause analysis. 
  • Improve existing systems/services and assist in development and implementation strategies for further leveraging. 
  • Create a mature disaster recovery plan and execute coordinated disaster recovery tests. 
  • Build, maintain, and present cloud architecture diagrams and documentation. 
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager with external cloud partners who deliver system-related products and services. 
  • Provide oversight and support of the cloud data management strategy. 
  • Actively monitor the cloud industry for new trends and technologies and provide consultative direction for the organization roadmap.

Does this sound like your profile?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, related fields, or equivalent experience 
  • AWS certifications are preferred 
  • Experience as a DBA, particularly with PostgreSQL, is an asset
  • At least 5 years of experience working in cloud environments with an extensive understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud data management, and DevOps 
  • Experience designing and implementing business-critical applications in the cloud.
  • Proficiency in production monitoring tools such as CloudWatch 
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in SaaS Cloud is preferred.

Quality Assurance Engineer

What your responsibilities would look like?

  • Create and design application and software testing processes
  • Ensure the overall quality of developed solutions through execution of all aspects of the Quality Assurance in every phase of the software development life cycle, from requirements definitions through to deployment
  • Monitor system and software functionality
  • Ensure offerings are entirely functional and provide quality assurance for software products
  • Automated testing and problem-solving of various tasks that work towards a development process
  • Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes
  • Collaborate with dev and business teams to develop test plans and new approaches for seeking out bugs and exploits in end-user-facing applications
  • Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems
  • Establish creative direction for the company within brand guidelines
  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Implement feedback and changes whenever possible

Translator (English to French, French to English)

We are currently looking for a translator to join our team, working remotely. This person will be responsible for the translation of our marketing initiatives, publications on our social networks, various corporate documents as well as internal and external communications of the organization. He or she will collaborate with various departments to meet the translation needs from English to French (95%) and vice-versa (5%). This is a part-time opportunity, based on the business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate from English to French or from French to English of internal and external communications, technical documents, presentations, marketing initiatives, website, digital marketing, social media, sales literature, internal communications, quality, regulatory and more.
  • Ensure the quality of communications and translations.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal departments to support communication and ensure consistency in communication style (sales, IT, quality / regulatory affairs, marketing, etc.)
  • Check spelling, syntax, grammar, etc. of various communications, texts, publications, videos, etc.
  • Plan the steps of each project, manage time well, consider deadlines in the delivery and ensure good communication with stakeholders.
  • Know how to adapt the tone of the writing to the different target audiences, ensure that the content of the translation conveys the original meaning and tone.
  • Participate in various marketing team meetings to support different communication projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in translation, linguistics or literature – students are welcome to apply.
  • At least 2 years experience in translation or technical editing from English to French and/or French to English.
  • Mastery of spelling and grammar, as well as a passion for the proper use of the French and English languages.
  • Perfect fluency of French and English.
  • Good knowledge of the culture, reality / language expressions specific to Quebec.
  • Excellent knowledge of the main research and consultation tools (grammars, dictionaries, lexicons, etc.)
  • Excellent writing skills and outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite and comfort with technology.
